Local artists and aspiring artists are encouraged to submit their entries to celebrate our “Celebrating Our Community” for the annual Magic Canvas Competition at the Einbunpin Festival being held Sunday 29th July at Einbunpin Lagoon parklands.
The annual Magic Canvas Competition is now in its seventh year, drawing both beginner and more experienced artists.
Over the years we’ve seen some truly stunning entries – it’s great seeing people having a go.
The Sandgate area is blessed with so many creative people, so the Magic Canvas Competition is another opportunity to celebrate and showcase this talent while at the same time encouraging new people to give it a go.
We’re encouraging everyone from schools, community groups and individuals to participate in creating a fabulous patchwork of canvases in the ‘pop up’ Bridge Gallery.
So the entry can be a group effort – or an individual one.
Adult – $100
Secondary School – $50
Primary School – $50
We’re very grateful for the support of our local Federal member Wayne Swan for providing the prize money for the winning artists.
The winning artists are selected by popular vote – so make sure you drop by the Bridge Gallery before 12noon to vote for your favourite artist in both the Adult and Youth categories on the day.
